Thank you for coming to God’s House today. I am so thankful that you are with us and pray that you will connect with the living God and connect with other believers that are here to minister to you.
This coming week we will celebrate perhaps one of my favorite holidays since it is simple and not commercialized — Thanksgiving. This has been a rough year for many of us and in many different ways, but we should be thankful that God has seen us through. How many remember the words of the song by Andre Crouch?
“How can I say thanks for the things that you have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet You give – to prove your love for me,
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude,
All that I am and ever hope to be,
I owe it all to Thee.
To God be the glory, to God be the glory
For the things He has done – With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.”
This Thanksgiving why not thank God for life itself, for family and friends, for our church and its ministries and missions, for people who love us no matter what we do, for the simple joys of day-to-day, and the little surprise that God brings into our lives.
I want to encourage you to be thankful not just this week, but every day for God’s Word tells us – “Give thanks in all situations for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
This Wednesday evening we will have our Annual Thanksgiving Eve Service. We will have a time of worship, testimonies, message and share communion together. I want to encourage you to come and give thanks to the Lord for His promises and provision for another year.
Connecting with you,
Pastor Ron
